Telemarketing Account Executive

Deep Web Technologies is hiring an account executive for our federated search product. As an outbound telemarketer, your primary duty is to contact libraries to sell Deep Web Technologies federated search product. Additionally, you will handle incoming sales inquires about the product. The objective of this position is new account development. Primarily, you will be responsible for hunting for new business. You will spend a significant amount of time on the phone.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed your sales quota as set by DWT management.
  • Effective use of the telephone to develop leads, schedule demos and close sales
  • Maintain account records in accordance to DWT sales department policy
  • Produce sales reports
  • Create proposals to develop and close sales.
  • Provide market feed-back, competitive information, product development input, etc., to DWT management.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Expectations

  • 50 new customer telephone contacts per week.
  • 30 follow up emails per week.
  • 5 demos per week.
  • 2 quotes per week.
  • 2 trials per week.
  • These expectations will be adjusted based on performance.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years direct sales or telemarketing experience (combination of inside and field), with superior in-person selling skills, knowledge/experience
  • Experience with library market preferred. Preference to those with experience in sales of software products that are central to the customer’s enterprise.Excellent communication and time management skills required.
  • Proven success in selling and closing customers, creating value, and managing a pipeline.
  • Experience with sales/electronic software products.
  • Computer software usage and proficiency in usage of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, SalesForce and other sales/customer relationship management tools.

Base Salary
